At the House of Ruth in Louisville [Kentucky], Victor checks rowboat kit in a sponsored UHAUL truck and heads back to New York. Standing on 27 sheets of marine grade plywood in the basement of ASA - The College for Excellence, Jun-jie Mooney helps his Dad, Ocean Rower, Victor Mooney with the first ceremonial cut for the Goree Challenge Ocean Rowboat. Inside the Atlantic Yards Boathouse, Goree Challenge Ocean Rowboat construction continues... Marine Grade Plywood is pre-coated with WEST SYSTEM Resin and Hardener. Marine Grade Plywood is pre-coated with WEST SYSTEM Resin and Hardener. Victor Mooney applies WEST SYSTEM Glass Fabric [white cloth] to strenghten Goree Challenge Ocean Rowboat. WEST SYSTEM High Density Filler is applied to Goree Challenge Ocean Rowboat "Hull". Victor Mooney cuts Marine-Grade Plywood, which will eventually be use to strenghten Goree Challenge Ocean Rowboat. Victor works on the interior panels. He's using 1/2" marine grade plywood. Using WEST SYSTEM products, Mooney applies glass fabric to inside panels also. WEST SYSTEM High Density Filler, Epoxy and Resin is applied to the ballast. WEST SYSTEM High Density Filler, Epoxy and Resin is applied in the berth area of oceanrowboat. WEST SYSTEM High Density filler, Epoxy, Resin and Fiberglass Cloth is applied to berth area of the oceanrowboat. Goree Challenge boat is being prepared to install fittings and make the Hull stronger.

Using Pettit Marine Paint at The Atlantic Yards Boathouse, Dr. Joseph Christmas, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Permanent Mission of St. Kitts & Nevis to the United Nations looks on as Victor begins painting his ocean rowboat on World AIDS Day.   On World AIDS Day, Rev. Dr. Herbert Daughtry, of House of the Lord Church, helps Victor paint the Goree Challenge Rowboat. Beverly Hall and Celeste Nall of United Parcel Service, Air Cargo Division based in Louisville [Kentucky], help Victor paint the Goree Challenge Rowboat. Outside the Atlantic Yards Boathouse, Waste Management removes all rubbish accumulated from building the Goree Challenge Oceanrowboat. In the sleeping "berth", Victor checks his electric installation on Goree Challenge Oceanrowboat. Victor ponders about moving his boat out of the garage. Lowes supplies Victor with all material needed for boat cradle and pallet. Linden Towing Sponsors the movement of "John Paul the Great" into UPS Shipping Container. On February 21, 2006, with a Team of Volunteers, UPS ships the boat to Dakar, Senegal.
