Paddle for HIV/AIDS 2003(365 miles) was a tribute to United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan. The Secretary General's steadfast advocacy for HIV/AIDS is unwavering. As his daily duties flucuates with all the major crisis...HIV/AIDS elimination remains paramount to him.

During Paddle for HIV/AIDS 2002 (300 miles), United Nations member states sent "soil" / "sand" which was combined with the "dust" from Ground Zero via Local 79 - NYC Laborers and was simultaneously released into the Atlantic Ocean as a Tribute to the Heroes and Victims of September 11th.

At the conclusion of Paddle for HIV/AIDS 2002, Mooney carried his canoe to St. Pauls Chapel via the Brooklyn Bridge. At St. Pauls Chapel he 'docked' his canoe as a lasting tribrute.

On the morning of the United Nations Special Session on HIV/AIDS, Mooney began his annual journey from the 23rd Street Marina, New York City.

In the inaugural Paddle for HIV/AIDS 2000, (30 miles), this event was a tribute to Cardinal O'Connor for his compassion on HIV/AIDS.
